The Guided tours
During the period of the manifestation they are foresee guided tours to the archaeological sites of the Province of Salerno (Paestum, Velia, etc).
Particular attention for the Tours Operator:
The National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano has programmed a tour of the most meaningful
places of the Park exclusively for the foreign Tour Operator. The schools will take advantage
of the possibility to have a guide during the tours that are however organized with the co-operation of
Public Education Office and Councillorship of the Province of Salerno.

National Archaeological Museum of Paestum
The Museum of Paestum is certainly between the most important Italian archaeological museums.
In it is guarded one of the most valuable collections of archaic sculptures than coming from southern Italy
(cycle of metope of the Heraion of Foce Sele VI sec. a. C.) and of funeral paintings referable to the lucano period
(IV sec. a.C.) that they are today an unicum, like it is, for the Classical age, the so-called "Tomba del Tuffatore" (Tomb of the Diver),
exceptional example, splendidly preserved, of funeral painting of Greek tradition.
Archaeological park of Paestum
The Archaeological Park of Paestum is characterized from the ruins of the city Sanctuary with the monumental testimonies of the three great Temples,
exceptionally preserved, dedicated to the goddess Hera (the so-called Basilica and Temple of Neptune) and to Athena (so-called Temple of Cerere),
datable between the half of VI and half of V sec. a. C.. The testimonies of the Greek city (Agorà, so-called sacello ipogeico) and Roman,
with the amphitheatre, the monuments of the Foro and the insulaes of residence are moreover visitable.
Heraion of Foce Sele
In a naturalistic environment of exceptional suggestion where still freely graze the bufales, between the marshes formed from the handles of the Sele river that,
anciently constituted the geographical border between Campania and Lucania, the ruins of one of the most important sanctuaries of the western Greek world they are preserved,
the so-called Heraion of Foce Sele (VI sec. a. C.), dedicated to the spouse of Zeus, Hera.
Archaeological Park of Velia.
The archaeological Park of Velia is characterized by the promontory where the ruins of the Castle of epoch aragoneses rise, that installed him, perhaps già
beginning from the X sec. A.D, on the sanctuary of classical epoch of the ancient colony Magno-Graeca of Elea. On the promontory they are preserved
the ruins of the first nucleus of archaic residences (end of the VI sec. a.C.) while to the slopes of the hill is visitable the Hellenic city and Roman
crossed by the big artery that conducts to the monumental Porta Rosa (last quarter of the IV sec. a. C.) divinity tied up to earth for excellence.
Numerous ex-vote in terracotta are recovered, tied up to the whole sphere of the female world, currently exposed to the National Museum of Paestum.
